Electronic Components Name Abbreviations And Symbols

There are many way to named electronic component, generally are letters + numbers + letters

The letter in front is the abbreviation of the chip manufacturer or a certain series. Like MC is form Motorola and MAX is from Maxim.

The number in the middle is the functional model. Like MC7805 and LM7805, it can be seen from the 7805 that their function is to output 5V, and the manufacturers are different.

Most of the letters in the behind are package information. You can only know what package the specific letters represent by checking the manufacturer data.
