Samsung's Xi'an NAND Flash Memory Plant Completed Expansion

The second Samsung Electronics' NAND flash memory China factory has been expanded and put into operation. The factory is the only Samsung's memory chip factory outside of South Korea. 

According to the report, the second plant has been operating at full capacity since early March. It can process 130,000 12-inch wafers per month, up from 120,000 per month at the first fab. As a result, the monthly production volume of NAND flash memory produced by Samsung Electronics' Xi'an plant has reached 250,000 pieces.

This capacity accounts for more than 40% of Samsung Electronics' total NAND flash memory production. Among the NAND flash memory factories, the production capacity of Samsung Electronics' Xi'an factory ranks first in the world.
